Apply a small amount of bee repellant in an 'X' or 'S' pattern to the felt inner cover, then place the fume board on top of the upper super, ensuring frame corners are exposed to airflow. The black finish absorbs sunlight, warming the repellant and sending the fumes down into the hive, encouraging the bees to vacate.
Caution: Only leave the fume board on the hive as long as it takes for the bees to evacuate the honey super!
