Certan Wax Moth Control

Certan is a preventative treatment that controls wax moths. It is a safe to use, harmless to honey bees, and environmentally friendly treatment that contains a concentrated solution of Bacillus thuringiensis, a micro-organism. Use after harvesting honey to kill young wax moth larvae. One application is effective against wax moths through the following season. Does not leave any residue in wax or honey. This treatment must be diluted in water to 5% (or 1 part Certan to 19 parts water). Once diluted, it must be used the same day for best results. In warmer climates or conditions, once dry, supers should be protected from reinfestation by being wrapped or stored in an enclosed space.
