Using a TempQueen, which simulates the presence of a laying queen, can significantly improve queen rearing success. When placed in queen mating nuclei during early spring, TempQueen helps maintain higher bee populations compared to untreated nucs. For best results, insert one TempQueen lure into each mating nucleus at the time it is established or when the queen cell is introduced.

TempQueen is also effective for calming bees during transport. When used in queenless packages, it helps reduce stress and agitation during shipping.
